High Intensity Training for Beginners
How to start high intensity training?
Q.I have been lifting for about 2 months now, I workout 5 days a week for about 2 hours a day. I would like to try HIT, but don't know how to start doing high intensity training workouts. What advice can you give me concerning high intensity training for beginners?
A. What you need to do it cut back the length of your workouts to 45 minutes or less, you will do this by doing less sets and reducing your rest time. Also cut back your training days to 3 or at most 4 days a week. But the most important part is that you train with 100% effort. Of course, you should break into this gradually by building up over a 2 week period to doing all your sets to complete muscle failure.
These are just some general guidelines, to really get the most out of HIT you need to fully understand both the theory and practice of it.
You should get the new HITMAN High Intensity Training Manual it is the best book ever written on HIT training and has the most effective workouts and techniques that you will find anywhere.
